Dr. Wes Wickwar, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Wes is the owner/founder of Accelacare Physical Therapy. He graduated from Wichita State University with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2002 and later earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. Wes received his Bachelor's Degree from Pittsburg State University majoring in biology. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2006 upon completing the Manual Therapy Institute program. Wes is well-trained in throwing mechanics and return to sport throwing programs and has a strong interest in the role of the nervous system with musculoskeletal disorders.
Wes is a charismatic leader and a giving person who has pioneered a new model for treating patients and employees by building the business to do what is best for everyone involved. Wes opened Accelacare in 2007 and in the last few years, it has grown into something much bigger than he ever dreamed it could be. And the clinic is still growing. In early 2018, the clinic's square footage was expanded by about 30 percent when we knocked down a wall and opened it up to add the suite next door. If you ask Wes, he will say Accelacare is just getting started... and that there is much, much more to come.
In his spare time, Wes loves spending time with his wife and their two children. He also enjoys watching football, watching Jayhawks basketball, and playing basketball.
Dr. Angela M. Reich, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Angela is the clinic director at Accelacare Physical Therapy. She first started working at the clinic in 2010. Angela graduated from Creighton University in 2009 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She studied kinesiology at Kansas State University and graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in 2006. Angela became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2013 upon completing the program through The Manual Therapy Institute. Angela has also focused her studies on women's health pelvic floor physical therapy including treatment of pelvic pain and incontinence. Angela feels there is a substantial need for this type of physical therapy and that most people have no idea it exists. She is a certified ASTYM provider as well. In the last several years she has taken a more active role in the management of the clinic and has proven to be a very capable and dynamic leader.
A Garden City native, Accelacare has given her the chance to solve for rural healthcare needs and pursue her passion of educating and empowering people to make changes to their lives. In her spare time, Angela loves spending time with her young son and daughter. She enjoys traveling, playing basketball and lifting weights. It's very rare to see Angela without a smile on her face.
Dr. Bryan Barker, PT, DPT, OCS
Bryan brings a breadth of knowledge to our clinic. He completed an orthopedic residency program and obtained his Orthopedic Certified-Specialist (OCS) exam. Additionally, he is completing coursework towards earning his fellowship in Manual Therapy from the Manual Therapy Institute. Bryan earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Angelo State University in Texas. Bryan is an expert in pain science and has lectured as a guest at several colleges and taught continuing education courses to physical therapists as well as other healthcare professionals. He is making a name for himself as an expert on chronic pain in not only southwest Kansas, but the whole state.
Bryan obtained his Dry Needling Certification and is one of the only providers to earn this certification in western Kansas. He is also an avid runner and wants to help other runners in southwest Kansas learn how to warm up correctly, utilize good form and understand how to rehabilitate. He is a Road Running Clubs of America Certified Coach and loves Chicago sports and the Wisconsin Badgers. Bryan is originally from the Chicago area. Bryan brings a lot of energy to our clinic and he's very passionate about treating patients. In his free time, Bryan likes to run, travel, go camping and hiking, climb mountains in Colorado and then go sip microbrews afterwards.
Tarryn joined Accelacare in May 2017. She is from Hays, Kansas but was born in North Dakota. She attended Wichita State University, where she received her bachelors degree in exercise science and her doctorate of physical therapy. Tarryn first found Accelacare as a student when she did a clinical rotation here. She picked physical therapy in high school because she wanted to work in the health care field and help people become healthier. Tarryn has a passion for women's health pelvic floor physical therapy and wants to help women get back to their lives instead of accepting things like pelvic pain or incontinence as normal when they can easily and successfully treated.
Tarryn’s hobbies include camping, hanging out with friends, swimming, following professional bull riding, cuddling her dog, being involved at her church and enjoying time with her family. One day, she hopes to ride a bull herself.
Aaron joined Accelacare Physical Therapy in June 2018. He is originally from Augusta, KS. He attended Wichita State University, where he recieved his bachelor's degree in chemistry and his doctorate degree of physical therapy in 2018. He was a previous student intern who completed a clinical rotation at Accelacare in late 2017 and was drawn to the approach to patient care that Accelacare brings. He is now in the managment trainee role with Accelacare.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and their puppy, Luna.
In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her two sons and her 4 grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading and making jewelry. She has an adorably happy little dog named Zen.
Danielle Stubblefield, Office Manager
Danielle is a Garden City native and graduated from Garden City High School. She has worked in a pharmacy as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and was employed for several years in a physician's medical office before joining Accelacare in September 2013. She started as a patient intake coordinator at the front desk and in 2017, we promoted her to Office Manager. She is responsible for supervising the front office staff, handling confidential medical records, verifying insurance benefits, working with case managers for workers compensation authorization and credentialing our physical therapists through insurance companies. Danielle has a way with patients that makes them feel comfortable and cared for. She never forgets anyone's name.
Danielle spends her free time with her husband and friends, her sweet Pittbull, London, and their spoiled Jack Russell Terrier named Sadie. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dogs for walks, working on her yard, spending time with family and friends, and shopping.
Misha Hernandez, Patient Intake Coordinator
Misha joined Accelacare in July 2017. She is a patient intake coordinator, so she schedules appointments, assists and directs patients, handles confidential medical records, contacts insurance companies to verify benefits, communicates with doctor’s offices, answers the phone and simultaneously makes the office a lot more fun. Misha previously worked at a doctor's office. She is a sister to Danielle Hernandez who also works at Accelacare and is a fun addition to the staff. She works with her sister, Danielle Stubblefield, at the front desk. Misha works very hard. She has another job that she goes to after she leaves Accelacare.
Misha, who is from Garden City, enjoys traveling, watching Netflix, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Cassidy Carmen, Patient Intake Coordinator
Cassidy joined Accelacare in early 2018 because we were growing and needed a fourth person to assist patients at the front desk. Before she came here, Cassidy was employed with the railroad industry working all over the country. She is originally from North Platte, Nebraska. Cassidy said she came to Accelacare because she enjoys helping people get better.
Cassidy likes to spend time with her daughter and fiance. She also likes traveling and is a Colorado Buffaloes and Texas Tech fan.
Sara Esquivel, Rehabilitation Technician
Sara Esquivel joined Accelacare in late 2015. She is a talented bilingual Rehab Tech who truly cares about our patients. She enjoys helping people and loves working in her role in our clinic. After patients finish their course of therapy, Sara makes follow up calls to make sure they are doing well. Sara also helps with our occupational services department. She administers WORK STEPS testing for new hires at companies who contract their pre-employment testing to us.
She enjoys spending time with her three children, shopping, listening to music and traveling. If you ever hear someone singing in the clinic, it's probably Sara.
Veronica Enriquez, Rehabilitation Technician
Veronica is a Registered Medical Assistant who is one of our talented Rehab Technicians. She joined Accelacare in early 2015. Her focus is on helping our patients recover and return to a more active lifestyle. She assists with our occupational services department by conducting drug tests and provides Spanish interpretation as needed.
Veronica likes working at Accelacare because she meets a lot of people and hears all their different stories. When telling those stories, the patients have so many different things to say. Vero's warm manner and kindness encourages our patients.
Kayra joined our occupational services department in 2018, when we saw a need for someone who could work odd hours and be on call. Kayra retired from the Finney County Sheriff's Office after more than 31 years. She assists Janet with drug testing. Kayra is trained to go to workplaces and do on-site testing for accidents and other needs. Kayra is a very funny lady. She always knows how to make us smile.
In her spare time, Kayra enjoys giving piano lessons and serves as the youth group leader at her church.
